A charming Belgian still life, full of colour and character. A generous spray of golden yellow flowers sits in a simple white vase, accompanied by a scattering of warm ochre and orange fruit. The composition is wonderfully balanced, with broad, confident brushstrokes and blocks of turquoise, soft green and creamy yellow creating a fresh, contemporary feel. There is a lovely interplay between the organic forms of the flowers and fruit and the geometric shapes of the background.
A distinctive piece that brings together the relaxed charm of Belgian still-life painting with a bold, modern palette. Perfect for adding a little colour and personality to a collected interior.
