A charming French floral oil still life, with a generous arrangement of roses in shades of deep red, soft pink and buttery yellow. Loosely painted in expressive brushstrokes, the flowers are gathered in a simple grey-green jug, set against a softly muted background. The gentle, slightly impressionistic handling gives the composition a lovely sense of movement, while the rich colours of the blooms bring it to life. This beautiful piece which is signed and presented in its original rustic wooden frame would be lovely in a pretty bedroom.
