A wonderfully graphic still life dating from 1978, featuring leafy, potted hydrangeas with delicate pink and blue blooms, accompanied by a solitary pear against a vivid cobalt blue surface. The bold blocks of colour, simplified forms and confident brushwork give the composition a distinctly mid-century feel. There is a lovely balance between the lush green foliage and the strong blue background, with the unexpected addition of the pear bringing a playful touch to the arrangement. Presented in a simple, warm-toned frame, this is a characterful piece of Swedish vintage art with plenty of personality.
A lovely find for lovers of Scandinavian art and interiors.
